Adult Learners
Learning to swim as an adult can be daunting but we are here to help, with specialised training to help you over come any hurdles you might have to learning to swim.
Our lessons cater for adults from those who have never learnt to swim, have a fear of water or had a near miss drowning experience to those, adults who are inefficient swimmers looking to improve technique and fitness at an beginner/intermediate level.
Due to facility restrictions we currently do not offer intermediate/advance level training but can assist with any enquiries in this space.
Our Levels
Due to our teaching philosophy, we don’t over complicate levels or graduation. We believe that every aquatic learner progresses at their own pace and so our levels are simplified to three; Water Confidence, Beginner and Intermediate. The levels are more of a spectrum, everyone is on their own aquatics journey, and we cater passionately to each individual learner. Our team focus on encouraging and inspiring any improvement each class, whether that be small or large.
At this time, we do not offer advance lessons due to the facility restrictions.
WATER CONFIDENCE
This level is about building a sense safe fun in the aquatic environment. We focus on very small engagement goals as well as some very basic skills that intimate confidence.
BEGINNER
This level is where we introduce basic aquatic skill progressively. each stage in this level we introduce skills to move towards swimming independently.
INTERMEDIATE
This level is about a combination of refining the basic skills building more on independent swimming and building some aquatic fitness and learning more complicated strokes like breaststroke and butterfly.
How it works
At the start of the season all of our students and clients undergo a Learn to swim assessment lesson. This is for the benefit of the student and teacher. It gives us a picture of where we are up to and where we can head towards. We note these details at the beginning of the season. At the end of the season this initial assessment is reviewed and a report is produced to showcase the progression and success each student has had through the season. As well as the opportunities ahead for development and improvement
