Swim Australia Teacher qualifications are recognised across Australia and provide aspiring swimming teachers with the skills and knowledge to teach water safety and swimming skills to learners of all ages through safe and engaging swimming lessons and programs.
Swim Australia’s courses feature a best-practise, blended delivery technique providing you with the flexibility of self-paced online study coupled with a face-to-face practical workshop.
Swim Australia offers three entry-level courses with no prior qualification requirements: Swim Australia™ Teacher (SAT), Swim Australia™ Teacher of Babies & Toddlers (SAT B&T), Swim Australia™ Teacher of Competitive Swimming (SAT CS)
All enrolled Swim Australia course students are covered by SCTI Insurance for the duration of their course and will receive complimentary SWIM Graduate Membership and complimentary $0 Excess Teacher Insurance upon being accredited*

Specialty Training
Swim Australia™ Teacher of Learners with Disability (SAT LWD) will be competent to deliver swimming lessons and services to students and learners with a diverse range of abilities.
The Swim Australia™ Teacher of Cultural Awareness in Aquatics (SAT CAIA) has the competency of a Swim Australia™ Teacher with additional specific knowledge and skills to teach special populations in aquatic classes. The course aims to challenge misconceptions, create positive dialogue, empower with new knowledge, and motivate the traditional staffing base in Australia’s aquatic industry with non-traditional clientele.
The Swim Australia™ Teacher of Adolescents and Adults course will add to the body of knowledge that a Swim Australia™ Teacher or Swim Australia™ Teacher of Competitive Swimming already possesses with specific content related to learners approximately 14 years and older.
